While the majority of time is spent studying classical ballet, The Conservatory has a strong contemporary program as well.
The Classical Program focuses on the development of classical lines, poise, pointe work and mens' steps. Dancer's learn and perform selections from the classical canon. They also earn certifications through the International Dance Council, a partner of UNESCO, based in Paris, FR.
The Contemporary Program, headed by Alyssa Fujimoto, involves dancers in the creation of new works. Through the study of contemporary movement, improvisation, and student choreography, students deepen their understanding of their own voices and will be well-prepared for work in the professional world of today.
