At the advanced stage, our students’ bodies and minds have been prepared for much harder work. They have learned to relish that work and the joy that it brings them. Students learn ever more intricate corps de ballet (group) work and principal roles from the great ballets and contemporary choreographers. Pas de Deux (partnering) is incorporated, and students may begin enrolling in competition if they like. Most advanced students take many hours of class per week, developing the endurance and long, supple muscles required for advanced study. Holding an honored position within RAB, they are the pillars of the academy and are expected to lead by example, supporting our culture of inclusivity and excellence in this art.
